As Snowflake data-platform engineer with specialization on CI/CD, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for Snowflake data platform. You will collaborate closely with development, data engineering, and operations teams to automate and streamline the deployment processes, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of Snowflake-based data solutions.
*What you get to do in this role: *
Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake data platform, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment processes.
Develop automated workflows for building, testing, and deploying Snowflake objects such as databases, schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures.
Implement best practices for version control, branching strategies, and code promotion within Snowflake environments.
Implement automated testing frameworks to validate data pipelines, ETL processes, and SQL queries for correctness, performance, and data quality.
Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms to detect and respond to issues affecting Snowflake clusters, data pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics and usage patterns of Snowflake resources.
Create comprehensive documentation for CI/CD processes, infrastructure configurations, and deployment procedures.
Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
To be successful in this role you'll have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a CI/CD Engineer or DevOps Engineer, with a focus on data platforms and analytics
Hands-on experience with Snowflake data platform, including administration, SQL scripting, and performance tuning
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and agile methodologies.
Experience with full-stack snowflake CICD design and development including, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with infrastructure as code principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
Strong understanding of Azure, Snowflake etc cloud platforms
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD best practices for software development to bring automation
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and stakeholders.
